Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and Test: Check raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods using precise tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

• Document Results: Record test data, maintain inspection logs, and fill out compliance or certificate of analysis forms.

• Report Defects: Identify flaws, raise non-conformance reports, and flag issues to production supervisors or the US Bureau of Labor Statistics standard guidelines.

• Support Improvements: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to find root causes and fix production line errors.

• Train Staff: Educate assembly and line workers on proper safety protocols and quality metrics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Attention to Detail: Spot minor physical defects or measurement variances.

• Technical Proficiency: Read blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.

• Analytical Skills: Use basic math and problem-solving methods to trace faults.

• Education: A high school diploma is often the minimum requirement, though specialized manufacturing or tech roles may prefer an associate or bachelor's degree
