Job Description – Quality Engineer

Department: Quality Reporting To: QA Manager/ Plant Head

Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in sheet metal and electrical panel manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems, inspecting products, resolving quality issues, and ensuring adherence to customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process and final inspections of sheet metal parts and electrical panels.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout production.

• Use measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, and other tools to check dimensions and tolerances.

• Monitor and maintain documentation related to quality checks and reports.

• Coordinate with production and design teams to resolve quality issues.

• Handle customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.).

• Prepare and maintain PPAP, FAI, and inspection reports as per customer requirements.

• Ensure continuous improvement through analysis of defects and rejection trends.

Key Skills Required:

• Proficient in the use of all measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal and electrical panel quality requirements

• Understanding of quality tools like 7 QC tools, CAPA, 5 Why, and Pareto Analysis

• Knowledge of ISO standards and documentation

• Good communication and analytical skills

• Experience in preparing QC reports, inspection reports, and customer feedback reports

• Knowledge of documentation in quality management systems and audits.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a sheet metal and electrical panel manufacturing company
