Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring incoming, in-process, and final quality of automated car parking lift systems, including structural, hydraulic/mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled sub-assemblies, in line with engineering drawings and applicable safety/quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Study and interpret engineering drawings (GA drawings, fabrication drawings, GD&T) to define and verify inspection checkpoints
• Conduct incoming quality inspection of raw materials, bought-out components (motors, sensors, PLCs, hydraulic units) and fabricated parts
• Carry out in-process and final inspection of parking lift structures, mechanical assemblies, and automation/control panels before dispatch
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation: inspection reports, ITPs, checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and CAPA records
• Coordinate with production and design teams to resolve fit, tolerance, and drawing-related deviations
• Support root-cause analysis for field complaints related to automation/sensor malfunction, hydraulic leakage, or structural issues
• Drive continuous improvement in quality systems (ISO 9001 practices, Kaizen, 5S) on the shop floor
Must-Have Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T
• Working knowledge of automation and mechatronics systems as used in automated parking lifts (PLC/sensor-based control, limit switches, safety interlocks)
• Exposure to lift/elevator/escalator or similar automated mechanical equipment manufacturing is highly preferred
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, height gauge) and basic NDT/visual inspection techniques
• Understanding of welding/fabrication quality checks for structural steel components
