About the Role
Shivtara Foods is looking for a highly ownership-driven QC Manager to lead end-to-end quality control at the unit. This role is mission-critical to ensuring zero defective product reaches customers, maintaining FSSC22000 compliance, and building a data-driven quality culture across raw materials, production, and finished goods.
You will be responsible for team leadership, food safety enforcement, root cause problem solving, and system-level quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead and manage Lab Technician, RM QC Technician, and FG QC Technician
Plan and allocate daily testing schedules across shifts (24/7 operations)
Train team on: Testing procedures, Equipment calibration, FSSC22000 standards, Documentation protocols
Conduct weekly performance reviews and capability building
2. Raw Material (RM) Quality Control
Ensure all incoming wheat is tested as per company standards before unloading
Supervise pre-gate and post-gate quality checks
Coordinate RM rejections with Purchase team
Ensure only compliant RM enters production
3. Finished Goods (FG) Quality Assurance
Ensure 100% batch-wise testing of finished goods
Block and prevent dispatch of any non-compliant product (zero tolerance)
Immediately escalate quality issues to Unit Head
Own customer complaints end-to-end, including: Root cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions), Closure within defined timelines
4. Food Safety, Compliance & GMP
Ensure strict adherence to FSSC22000 standards across operations
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Hygiene, Pest control, Cleaning validation
Conduct multiple daily shop-floor audits
Monitor: Equipment sanitation, Process controls, Environmental conditions
Ensure compliance with FSSAI regulations
Maintain audit-ready documentation at all times
Support unit hygiene audits and weekly reviews
5. Quality Systems & Analysis
Maintain batch-wise and source-wise quality database
Track: RM quality trends, Process deviations, FG performance
Analyze rejection patterns and recurring issues
Present actionable insights to management
6. Competitor Benchmarking
Conduct periodic competitor product testing
Benchmark against internal quality standards
Identify opportunities for product improvement

Candidate Profile
Must-Have
Bachelors/Masters in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology / Related Field
4 to 10 years experience in QC/QA in food processing industry
Strong knowledge of: FSSC22000 / ISO / HACCP, FSSAI regulations, Lab testing and quality systems
