Educational & Technical Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree OR a Diploma in Metallurgy (with Chemistry as a core subject).
Certification
Must have undergone (or be eligible to undergo) specialized BIS-approved training in laboratory management, sampling, and precious metal assaying.
Technical Knowledge Base
Strong, up-to-date working knowledge of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) regulatory frameworks.
Deep familiarity with IS 1418 (Gold Cupellation Method), IS 1417 (Gold Fineness grades), and IS 15820 (AHC Operations).
Required Skills & Competencies
Precision & Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to perform precise micro-weighing and data entry.
Safety & Resilience: Ability to work safely and efficiently around extreme temperatures (furnaces) and hazardous materials/acids.
Digital Literacy: Comfortable using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and government compliance portals (Manak Online).
Integrity: Commitment to absolute honesty and ethical compliance in reporting metal purity.
