A manufacturing purchasing job involves sourcing, buying, and managing materials/services for production, focusing on cost, quality, and timely delivery through vendor negotiation, purchase order processing, inventory monitoring, supplier relationship management, and ensuring compliance (like GMP/ISO), all while coordinating internally with production and quality teams to meet operational needs and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Negotiation: Research suppliers, compare pricing, negotiate contracts, and secure best deals for raw materials, components, and services.

Procurement Operations: Create purchase orders, process requisitions, track shipments, manage deliveries, and resolve issues (shortages, damages).

Supplier Management : Build strong vendor relationships, monitor performance, and maintain a supplier database.

Inventory & Demand: Work with inventory control to forecast needs and manage stock levels, placing orders to prevent shortages.

Quality & Compliance : Ensure procured items meet required quality standards (GMP, ISO) and coordinate with QA for supplier approval.

Reporting & Analysis : Analyze costs, prepare reports, and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
