🧵 Job Overview

Hireinside is seeking a skilled Manufacturing & Production Manager to lead our end-to-end bag and accessory production operations.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in bag manufacturing, leather goods production, or apparel manufacturing, with a strong ability to manage teams, maintain quality standards, optimize production schedules, and oversee workshop administration.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Management

• Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules aligned with sales and inventory goals.

• Coordinate with design and sales teams to prioritize styles and SKUs.

• Ensure high-quality standards across all stages — cutting, stitching, printing, finishing, and packaging.

• Monitor workshop timelines to ensure on-time delivery of all production orders.

Team Supervision & Coordination

• Lead, train, and supervise craftspeople, stitching teams, and printers.

• Maintain discipline, monitor daily output, and evaluate team performance.

• Address workflow bottlenecks or personnel issues promptly.

Inventory & Material Management

• Track raw material stock, monitor consumption, and manage reorder levels.

• Oversee inventory for work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods.

• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of jute, canvas, leather, and accessories.

Workshop & Operations Administration

• Oversee workshop maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.

• Manage vendor and supplier relationships for materials and services.

• Maintain workshop documentation, HR files, and administrative records.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain detailed production logs, costing sheets, and batch tracking reports.

• Generate regular reports on productivity, wastage, and material utilization.

• Provide feedback to the design and sales teams on manufacturing feasibility and process improvements.

🧩 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in production management, ideally in bags, accessories, footwear, or apparel manufacturing.

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of natural materials, leather crafting, and workshop operations.

• Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; comfortable using digital tools and WhatsApp for coordination.

• Languages: Fluency in Hindi and/or Bengali; working knowledge of English for documentation.

• Location: Must be based in or near Kolkata, preferably within commuting distance of Rajpur-Sonarpur.
