A Production Head in cable/wire manufacturing leads operations, ensuring efficient, quality-focused production of power/specialty cables by managing teams, optimizing processes (like extrusion, stranding, enamelling), controlling costs, maintaining EHS, and achieving production targets while ensuring compliance with standards (IEC/IEEE), requiring deep experience in cable production and leadership. Key duties include production planning, line balancing, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and driving continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring high-volume, efficient output of cables (power, control, communication).

• Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and train supervisors, operators, and technical staff; allocate manpower effectively.

• Process Optimization: Implement best practices, drive productivity, reduce costs, and improve technology in processes like extrusion, stranding, and winding.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure products meet IEC/IEEE/customer specs, manage rejection control, and maintain quality standards (e.g., 5S, Capa), as noted on GSS Partners' job posting.

• Maintenance & Materials: Coordinate with maintenance for minimal downtime, plan preventative maintenance, and ensure raw material availability.

• Safety (EHS): Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, notes IIM Jobs.

• Reporting: Maintain production records, shift reports, and performance metrics.
