Job Summary
The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of DTH hammers and related components. The role involves managing shop floor operations, improving productivity, ensuring quality standards, and meeting delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily production schedules for CNC, VMC, lathe, grinding, and drilling operations
Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and materials
Monitor production targets and achieve output goals within deadlines
Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce rejection rates
Maintain quality standards for DTH hammer components (pistons, cylinders, bits, etc.)
Coordinate with design, stores, and dispatch departments
Ensure preventive maintenance of machines and minimize downtime
Supervise and guide shop floor workers and supervisors
Maintain production reports, MIS, and documentation
Ensure compliance with safety and workplace regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
0–5 years of experience in manufacturing (preferably DTH tools, drilling equipment, or heavy engineering)
Strong knowledge of CNC machining, VMC operations, and manual lathe processes
Understanding of heat treatment, metallurgy, and tool performance
Good leadership and team management skills
Ability to handle production planning and problem-solving on the shop floor
Familiarity with production planning tools / ERP systems is an advantage
