Job description:

Industry: Electronics Manufacturing (preferred Chargers, Inverters, Converters)

Location: Salt Lake V Kolkata

Reports To: Production Manager

Job Summary

The Production Floor Supervisor will oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities on the production floor, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, compliance with safety protocols, and timely achievement of production targets. The role requires strong leadership skills to manage workers, technicians, and operators while maintaining smooth workflow and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

·    Supervise assembly, testing, and packaging processes for electronic products such as chargers, inverters, and converters.

·    Allocate tasks, plan daily workflow, and monitor work progress to meet production schedules.

·    Ensure raw materials, components, and tools are available for uninterrupted production.

·    Minimize machine downtime by coordinating with maintenance teams.

·    Monitor and control rejection/rework rates, ensuring cost efficiency.

Quality Assurance

·    Ensure compliance with ISO standards, internal SOPs, and customer specifications.

·    Conduct in-process inspections and audits to maintain product quality.

·    Work closely with Quality Control (QC) to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.

Team Management

·    Supervise and guide operators, technicians, and junior staff on the production floor.

·    Conduct daily briefings to assign duties, communicate targets, and ensure safety awareness.

·    Train and up skill workforce on process improvements and new technologies.

·    Monitor employee performance, attendance, and discipline on the shop floor.

Process Improvement & Reporting

·    Identify bottlenecks in the production process and suggest improvements.

·    Maintain accurate records of production output, rejection rates, and manpower utilization.

·    Prepare daily/weekly reports and present to the Production Manager.

Key Skills & Competencies

·    Strong knowledge of electronics assembly processes (PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, testing).

·    Familiarity with SMT, wave soldering, and manual soldering practices.

·    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and BOMs.

·    Leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.

·    Good communication and reporting skills.

·    Very proactive and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualification & Experience

·    Diploma in Electronics / Electrical .

·    2-3 years of experience in production supervision within electronics manufacturing (preferred chargers, inverters, converters, SMPS, or related industry).

·    Hands-on experience in managing production lines and workforce.

Salary

• 20k gross (Negotiable)

Service Loyalty Agreement:

Please note we have a paid Service Loyalty Agreement of 3 yrs.
