Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, maintaining quality standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing resources efficiently, and driving continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Ensure compliance with GMP, WHO-GMP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Plan production schedules and optimize manpower and machine utilization.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams.
Ensure preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies.
Develop and mentor production teams to improve performance.
Prepare production reports, KPIs, and management reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree (MBA/Operations) preferred.
Experience
05–10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Minimum 3 years in a leadership role as Plant Manager or Production Head.
Experience in tablet, capsule, injectable, or ointment manufacturing is preferred.
