A Civil Site Supervisor looks after the work happening at a construction site. The main job is to make sure the work is done correctly, safely, and on time.
Main Duties
Watch and control daily work at the site
Guide workers, foremen, and machine operators
Make sure work follows drawings and instructions given by engineers
Check that materials and tools are used properly
Ensure safety rules are followed at all times
Check quality of work like concrete, roads, and drainage
Solve small problems at the site and report big issues to engineers
Keep daily records of work, workers, and materials
Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and subcontractors
Education and Experience
Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience working on civil construction sites
Skills Needed
Basic understanding of drawings
Ability to manage workers
Good communication skills
Basic knowledge of safety rules
Work Environment
Work mainly on construction sites
