Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Pre & Post-Coat Grinding: Set up and operate cylindrical and surface grinding machines to grind industrial components (such as deflector rolls, turbine shafts, and pump sleeves) both before coating (for sizing) and after thermal spraying (for final finishing).

• Handling Hard Coatings: Precisely grind highly wear-resistant, hard surfaces like Tungsten Carbide, Chrome Oxide, and Ceramic coatings (with hardness values up to 65–72 HRC).

• Ultra-Precision Finishing: Achieve exact dimensional tolerances (often within $\pm 0.0001$ inches or single-digit microns) and meet specific surface roughness ($R_a$) parameters, including mirror-like finishes on rolls.

• Wheel Selection & Dressing: Select the correct abrasive wheels (such as Diamond or CBN wheels for hard coatings) and perform regular dressing and truing of the wheels to maintain structural integrity and grinding performance.

• Component Set-up & Alignment: Safely mount and align large and heavy industrial parts. PSP handles components weighing up to 6 tons, requiring proper use of overhead cranes and fixtures.

• Quality Inspection: Use precision instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, and surface roughness testers) to inspect parts before, during, and after the grinding process.

• Coolant & Heat Management: Maintain and monitor liquid coolant flow accurately to prevent thermal shocking, cracking, or delamination of the sprayed coatings during grinding.

• Daily Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance on the grinding machines, clean workspace, and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.

• It is a Full Time తయారీ job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
