Lathe Machine Operator

Roles & Responsibility:

· Operate conventional lathe machine as per drawing specifications.

· Perform turning operations such as facing, threading, drilling, boring, and taper turning.

· Set up and align workpieces using proper clamping methods.

· Select appropriate cutting tools and maintain cutting parameters.

· Read and understand engineering drawings to maintain dimensional accuracy.

· Inspect components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, etc.).

· Ensure required tolerances and surface finish standards are achieved.

· Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety procedures.

· Report machine issues or quality concerns to the supervisor.

Skills to have :

· Knowledge of conventional turning operations.

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

· Understanding of machining tolerances and fits.

· Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

· Good problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

· Ability to work in a production environment.
