Operate and set up lathe machines for turning, facing, threading, boring, drilling, and other machining operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and machining instructions.
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, chucks, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
Set machine parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.
Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Inspect finished components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
Make basic machine/tool adjustments to maintain required tolerances.
Maintain proper machine housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and machining defects and report them to the supervisor.
Maintain production records and follow the assigned production schedule.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of raw materials and finished components.
