Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Senior Purchase Manager to lead the procurement function for our HVAC manufacturing business. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in sourcing HVAC components, vendor management, strategic procurement, cost optimization, and supply chain coordination. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely procurement of quality materials while maintaining cost efficiency and supporting uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Manage end-to-end procurement of HVAC materials, including:

• Compressors

• Fans & Motors

• Heat Exchangers

• Copper Tubes & Coils

• Electrical Components

• Insulation Materials

• GI Sheets & Structural Steel

• Filters, Dampers, Valves, and HVAC Accessories

• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and develop new vendors.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and annual contracts.

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Production, Planning, Design, and Stores departments.

• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.

• Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering.

• Review purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.

• Track supplier performance through quality, delivery, and service metrics.

• Resolve supply chain issues and material shortages proactively.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.

• Prepare procurement reports, MIS, purchase budgets, and savings reports for management.

• Lead and mentor the purchase team to improve efficiency and performance.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC products, raw materials, and procurement processes.

• Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills.

• Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management.

• Commercial and analytical mindset.

• Cost reduction and strategic sourcing expertise.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement is preferred.

• Experience in HVAC manufacturing is mandatory.
