Food Preparation Support
Assist in basic cutting, chopping, peeling, and washing vegetables and ingredients.
Help in preparing salads, sandwiches, cold starters, and garnishes under chef's supervision.
Measure and portion ingredients as per recipe standards.
Cold Kitchen Production
Assist in assembling cold items such as salads, desserts, dips, spreads, and canapés.
Maintain freshness and presentation consistency of all cold dishes.
Follow standard recipes and portion control guidelines.
Hygiene & Safety
Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.
Ensure all food is stored at correct temperature following FIFO & HACCP.
Keep workstation clean, sanitized, and organized during and after shift.
Inventory & Storage
Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing raw and semi-prepared materials properly.
Report low stock and expiry items to senior chef.
Avoid wastage and follow correct food handling procedures.
Equipment Handling
Safely use and clean cold kitchen equipment like slicers, blenders, mixing bowls, knives, and storage containers.
Ensure proper sanitization of tools and working area before and after use.
Team Support
Support Commis II, Commis I, and CDP in cold kitchen operations.
Follow instructions from senior staff efficiently and complete assigned tasks on time.
Documentation & SOP Compliance
Follow kitchen SOPs, recipe sheets, and plating standards.
Assist in maintaining records for production sheets, cleaning logs, and temperature logs.
Quality & Consistency
Ensure ingredients are fresh and dishes are presented neatly.
Taste products (when allowed) to ensure quality and balance of flavors.
Waste Control
Minimize food wastage and follow recycling & disposal procedures as per policy.
