The Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical components, structures, and equipment used in the solar module manufacturing process. The role ensures smooth operation of production lines, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and fit mechanical parts, fixtures, jigs, frames, and structures used in solar module manufacturing lines
Install and align machinery, conveyors, laminators, framing machines, and related equipment
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems to minimize downtime
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments accurately
Assist in machine setup, changeovers, and commissioning of new equipment
Ensure proper tightening, alignment, and calibration of mechanical components
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality guidelines, and 5S practices
Adhere strictly to safety, health, and environmental (EHS) norms
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues
Maintain records of maintenance work and component replacements
Required Qualifications
ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or relevant trade
Certification in Fitter trade is mandatory (ITI preferred)
