Engineer- Proprietary Parts Benchmarking Function Research & Development - Jaipur Pay Band E4 to M2 Role Engineer- Proprietary Parts Benchmarking A purpose driven role for you The work as an Engineer for Benchmarking of models and study of technical requirement in application of concepts in new product design. He has to work as a subject matter expert to device cost of the Two wheeler competitor model proprietary parts. A Day in the life • Cost and reverse Engineering of competitor two-wheeler parts to get the actual cost of part. • Key contribution in competitor vehicle data analysis and identifying the potential areas of optimization. • Deploy System based data updating and retrieval • Quality & Delivery Academic Qualification & Experience B.Tech (Mech/ Auto) Technical Skills/Knowledge • Knowledge of the Key manufacturing processes • Good knowledge of Mechanical Proprietary parts – Frame Body, Chassis (Suspension System, Brake System, Wheels etc) • Should understand Process and the Machines/ Equipment used for manufacturing of parts. • Should have hands on Experience for Complete Vehicle Tear down & Assembly. • Understand & explain product operation ( system ,sub system ), components, function etc. • Identify & recommend ways to optimize the cost of system / vehicle feature. • Knowledge of GD&T. • Part drawing reading, fits and Tolerances. • Handling of precise Measuring instrument like Vernier calliper, Micro meter etc • Part Visual Inspection; taking measurements; adjusting and re-programming controls. • Knowledge of Zero based Costing and Cost Re-Engineering. • Data generation and analytics • Knowledge of development of Engine parts will be additional advantage. Having Knowledge of Vehicle reverse engineering. • Benchmarking of models and study of technical requirement in application of concepts in new product design. • To work as a Subject matter expert to device cost of the Two wheeler competitor model proprietary parts.
