EDD- Engine Simulation Function Research & Development - Jaipur Pay Band E4 to M2 Role EDD- Engine Simuluation A purpose driven role for you The incumbent will work within a group of engineers to support development of 2 Wheeler I.C engines. The 1D engine Thermodynamic and Acoustic (Linear & Non-Linear) simulation engineer is able to apply engineering principles, theories, and technical core competencies for the advancement of the application of air cooled, oil cooled and water cooled product portfolios. They must demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment as significant engine/power pack thermodynamic and Acoustic development problems are anticipated and solved.. A Day in the life Responsible for performing for performing 1D Engine thermodynamic and Acoustic analysis to meet IPC targets and resolve field issues Develop & validate predictive combustion models. Support troubleshooting of test/field issues using simulation and analytical approaches. Develop & validate Virtual calibration process to reduce development time Collaborate with design, testing, and performance teams to align simulations with real-world results. Contribute to model development, validation, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies. Prepare technical reports, documentation, validation & presentations for internal and external stakeholders Academic Qualification & Experience ● M Tech (Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field from IITs / IISc) ● 6 – 10 Years of professional experience ● R&D 2W preferable Technical Skills/Knowledge Hands on experience with GT Suite / AVL Boost/Ricardo Wave, Hyper mesh, CATIA. Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, combustion, and heat transfer principles. Expertise in predictive combustion and Virtual Calibration Proficiency in model building in 1D tools. Good scripting skills in Java, Python, macros for automation. Experience with post-processing tools and reporting. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
