CNC OPERATOR | Ambattur, Chennai

We are hiring a CNC Operator with 1–5 years of experience in CNC machine operation and production activities. Candidates with CNC Sliding Head / Swiss-Type CNC Machine experience will be highly preferred.

Qualification: 12th / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) preferred
Experience: 1–5 Years
Location: Ambattur, Chennai
Shift: Rotational Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently as per production requirements.

• Load and unload materials/components into the machine.

• Perform machine cleaning and maintain 5S standards.

• Monitor hourly production and update production charts.

• Perform component inspection as per quality standards.

• Carry out tool changes and basic tool offset corrections.

• Complete daily machine maintenance checklists.

• Identify basic machine abnormalities / 5M issues and report them to the supervisor.

• Follow SOPs, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.

• Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and other measuring instruments.

• Maintain production quality and achieve daily production targets.

• Work effectively in rotational shifts.

Required Skills

• Hands-on CNC machine operation experience.

• Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes.

• Tool changing and basic offset correction.

• Component inspection and measurement.

• Knowledge of Vernier and Micrometer.

• Understanding of 5S, SOPs, and shop-floor safety.

• Basic understanding of machine abnormalities / 5M.

Preferred: Experience in CNC Sliding Head / Swiss-Type CNC Machines will be an added advantage.
