Assistant Production Manager

Production Manager – Duties & Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

• Plan daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.

• Ensure production targets are achieved on time.

• Allocate manpower and machines efficiently.

• Minimize production downtime.

2. Team Management

• Supervise supervisors, machine operators, and factory workers.

• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance.

• Train new employees on production processes.

• Maintain discipline and attendance.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure products meet quality standards.

• Reduce rejection and wastage.

• Coordinate with the QC team to resolve quality issues.

• Implement corrective and preventive actions.

4. Inventory & Material Management

• Coordinate with the Purchase and Store departments.

• Ensure raw materials are available before production.

• Monitor material consumption.

• Control wastage and improve material utilization.

5. Machine & Maintenance

• Ensure machines are operating efficiently.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.

• Report machine breakdowns immediately.

• Improve machine utilization.

6. Production Monitoring

• Monitor hourly and daily production output.

• Track production efficiency.

• Analyze production losses and implement improvements.

• Prepare daily production reports.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure workers follow safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized production floor.

• Ensure compliance with factory SOPs and company policies.

• Conduct regular safety inspections.

8. Coordination

• Coordinate with:

  • Purchase Department

  • Store Department

  • Quality Department

  • Dispatch Department

  • Management

9. Cost Control

• Reduce production costs.

• Minimize scrap and rework.

• Improve labor productivity.

• Optimize machine utilization.

10. Continuous Improvement

• Suggest process improvements.

• Increase production efficiency.

• Implement Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices where applicable.

• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• It is a Full Time తయారీ job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
