Position: Litigation Manager – A RERA specialised

Location: Panvel, Navi Mumbai

Reporting To: CEO

Role Summary

The Litigation Manager will spearhead the RERA practice, acting as the primary legal counsel

for promoters, developers, homebuyers, and agents. This role requires deep knowledge and

expertise in the RERA (Real Estate Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, Maharashtra

rules, and Bombay High Court procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispute Resolution & Advocacy

 Represent clients before the MahaRERA Authority, MahaRERA Appellate Tribunal

(REAT), and the Bombay High Court.

 Strategize and lead arguments for refund claims, possession delays, and force

majeure disputes.

 Oversee the execution of recovery warrants and attachment of properties.

2. Advisory & Compliance

 Interpret RERA judgments and provide actionable legal opinions to developers and

investors.

 Conduct due diligence on project approvals, land titles, and ongoing litigations.

 Ensure developer compliance regarding project extensions, structural defects, and

quarterly disclosures.

3. Team Leadership

 Mentor a team of junior advocates and associates handling daily filings and

documentation.

 Allocate cases, review drafted petitions (complaints, replies, rejoinders, and

appeals), and manage case calendars.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

 Advise HNIs (High Net-worth Individuals) and corporate bodies on mitigating RERA

risks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

 Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized Indian university.

 Bar Admission: Enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.

 Experience: 5-6 years of litigation & Non litigation experience, with a minimum of 2

years focused heavily on MahaRERA and Real Estate.

 Skills: Strong courtroom presence, meticulous drafting skills, and strong networking

in the Mumbai real estate ecosystem.
