Job Summary

The Legal professional will be responsible for handling all legal matters related to real estate projects, including property due diligence, documentation, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and liaison with government authorities. The role ensures that the company’s real estate transactions and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Property & Transactional Matters

• Conduct legal due diligence of land and property (title search, chain of title, encumbrances).

• Draft, review, and negotiate property-related documents such as:

  • Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds

  • Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements

  • Development Agreements, JDA, POA

  • MOUs, Term Sheets, Collaboration Agreements

• Support land acquisition, leasing, and disposal transactions.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with real estate laws and regulations including:

  • RERA

  • Land Revenue & Local Municipal Laws

  • Stamp Duty and Registration Acts

  • Environmental and zoning regulations

• Coordinate approvals and licenses from statutory authorities.

• Maintain legal compliance trackers and documentation.

Litigation & Dispute Management

• Handle legal notices, replies, and correspondence.

• Coordinate with external advocates on civil, criminal, consumer, and RERA matters.

• Track ongoing litigation and provide regular status updates to management.

Corporate & Contractual Support

• Review commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and service contracts.

• Advise business teams on legal risks and mitigation strategies.

• Support internal stakeholders on legal interpretations and best practices.

Stakeholder & Authority Liaison

• Liaise with government departments, sub-registrars, municipal authorities, and consultants.

• Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and investors on legal documentation.
