Job Title: Advocate – Real Estate & Property Law
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing legal support and advice on real estate transactions, property documentation, title verification, due diligence, registrations, disputes, and compliance with applicable property laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct property title searches and due diligence.
Verify sale deeds, conveyance deeds, mutation records, encumbrance certificates, and other property documents.
Draft and review sale agreements, sale deeds, lease agreements, rent agreements, development agreements, MOUs, and POAs.
Handle property purchase, sale, lease, transfer, and development transactions.
Assist with property registration and stamp duty matters.
Identify and advise on legal risks relating to ownership, title, encumbrances, and disputes.
Handle or coordinate property litigation and court matters.
Advise on RERA, land-use, municipal, and regulatory compliance, as applicable.
Liaise with clients, builders, developers, government authorities, banks, and other legal professionals.
Prepare legal opinions and reports regarding property transactions.
Maintain case files, transaction records, and ensure timely completion of legal formalities.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
LL.B. degree and valid Bar Council enrollment.
Experience in real estate/property law and documentation preferred.
Good knowledge of property laws, registration procedures, stamp duty, and RERA.
Strong drafting, negotiation, legal research, and due-diligence skills.
Ability to independently handle property transactions and legal matters.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify title/documentation issues.
Preferred Experience:
0–3 years of experience in real estate/property law, preferably with a law firm, real estate company, builder/developer, or corporate legal department.
