Packing Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

A. Packing Operations

• Ensure packing of products as per company standards, quantity, weight, and quality.

• Assign daily work to packing staff, helpers, and operators.

• Monitor the packing line to avoid delays or wastage.

• Check packaging materials (labels, poly bags, boxes, cartons) before use.

• Ensure correct product labelling and batch marking.

B. Manpower Management

• Maintain discipline among packing workers.

• Manage shift planning and allocate manpower according to workload.

• Train new workers on packing processes and quality standards.

• Maintain attendance and overtime of packing staff.

C. Quality & Safety

• Ensure packed goods meet hygiene, quality, and safety standards.

• Perform random checks to avoid leakage, damage, or incorrect weights.

• Report any deviation or defect immediately to the production/quality team.

• Ensure all workers follow safety rules (PPE, hygiene, clean workspace).

D. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily packing reports—quantity packed, rejects, wastage.

• Record consumption of packaging materials.

• Update stock of finished goods and coordinate with store/dispatch.

• Prepare shift-end reports and communicate issues to management.

E. Coordination

• Coordinate with production team for timely supply of materials.

• Work with the store team for packing materials availability.

• Support dispatch team for timely order completion.
