Job Purpose
To perform post-moulding activities including visual inspection, deflashing, trimming, sorting, packing, labeling, and arranging finished goods in accordance with customer specifications, quality standards, and production targets while maintaining workplace cleanliness and safety.
Key Responsibilities
1. Post Moulding Operations
Collect moulded components from designated production areas.
Verify part numbers and production batch details before processing.
Segregate products according to part numbers and customer requirements.
Ensure moulded parts are handled carefully to prevent damage, scratches, or contamination.
2. Deflashing and Trimming
Remove excess flash, burrs, runners, gates, and unwanted material from moulded parts.
Use approved cutting tools, trimming knives, fixtures, and equipment safely.
Ensure no damage occurs to the finished component during trimming.
Maintain required dimensional and visual standards during deflashing activities.
3. Visual Inspection
Conduct 100% visual inspection of components as per quality standards.
Identify and segregate defects such as:
Short moulding
Flash
Sink marks
Burn marks
Black spots
Silver marks
Flow marks
Warpage
Cracks
Damage
Busbar exposure
Busbar damage
Contamination
Immediately report abnormal quality issues to the supervisor or quality inspector.
4. Packing Activities
Pack components according to approved packing instructions and customer requirements.
Ensure correct quantities are packed in each box, tray, bag, or container.
Apply labels, identification tags, and traceability stickers correctly.
Verify packaging materials are clean and free from damage.
Prevent mixing of different part numbers or batches.
5. Material Arrangement and Housekeeping
Arrange finished goods systematically in designated storage areas.
Maintain FIFO (First In First Out) practices where applicable.
Keep workstations clean and organized throughout the shift.
Dispose of scrap and rejected materials in designated bins.
Support 5S implementation and workplace discipline.
6. Production Documentation
Record production quantities accurately.
Record rejection quantities and reasons.
Maintain packing records and dispatch preparation records.
Sign production and quality records whenever required.
7. Quality Compliance
Follow all customer quality requirements.
Ensure zero mixing of parts, labels, packaging materials, and batches.
Support internal and customer audits.
Cooperate with Quality Department during inspections and investigations.
8. Safety Responsibilities
Follow all company safety procedures.
Wear required PPE at all times.
Handle tools safely and report damaged tools immediately.
Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to supervisors.
Avoid any activity that may result in injury or product damage.
9. Productivity Responsibilities
Achieve daily production and packing targets assigned by management.
Minimize rejection and rework.
Maintain high efficiency and productivity throughout the shift.
Support team members during peak production requirements.
