Job Title

Splicer – Backhaul Fiber Operations (Fresher)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Splicer (Fresher) for Backhaul Fiber Operations & Maintenance (O&M). The role involves 24/7 network support, responding to tickets and calls, and performing field activities to ensure high availability of Backhaul fiber networks.

Key Responsibilities

 Respond to network tickets, calls on a 24/7 basis

 Perform field fault localization and restoration for Backhaul OFC

 Assist in fiber cable laying and & cut restoration within defined SLAs

 Conduct OTDR, power meter testing, and fault analysis

 Coordinate with NOC, engineers, and field teams for issue resolution

 Perform preventive maintenance on Backhaul fiber routes

 Maintain incident reports, ticket updates, and field documentation

 Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and telecom standards

Work Conditions

 24/7 availability with on-call availability

 Field movement based on tickets, calls

 Outdoor work in all weather conditions

Skills Required

 Physically fit for field operations

 Good troubleshooting aptitude

 Basic understanding of optical fiber and backbone networks

 Ability to understand tickets, SLAs, and escalation processes

Eligibility & Qualifications

 Two wheeler & Valid two-wheeler license

 Willingness to work field-based and emergency assignments

 Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in fiber operations

 ITI / Diploma / Degree
