Phlebotomist

The Collection Center Executive / Phlebotomist will be responsible for blood sample collection, patient handling, proper labelling and dispatch of samples, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the collection center.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sample Collection

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection as per standard protocols.

• Collect other samples (urine, stool, swabs, etc.) as instructed.

• Ensure correct labelling and documentation of all samples.

2. Patient Care & Coordination

• Attend patients politely and guide them regarding test procedures.

• Verify patient details before sample collection.

• Provide instructions for fasting and other pre-test requirements.

3. Sample Handling & Dispatch

• Maintain proper storage conditions for collected samples.

• Pack and dispatch samples to the main laboratory within defined timelines.

• Maintain dispatch records and documentation.

4. Hygiene & Safety

• Follow infection control protocols and biomedical waste disposal guidelines.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the collection center.

• Use PPE as per safety standards.

5. Administrative Work

• Maintain daily records, billing entries, and reports.

• Handle basic cash collection and receipt generation (if required).

• Coordinate with lab and management regarding test reports and queries.

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: DMLT / MLT / Certified Phlebotomy Technician

• Experience: 0–2 years (Experience in diagnostic lab preferred)

• Gender: Male/Female (as per requirement)

• Basic computer knowledge required
