Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and patient-friendly Home Collection Phlebotomist to visit patients at their homes and collect blood and other diagnostic samples safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit patients at their homes as per the assigned schedule.

• Collect blood, urine, and other required diagnostic samples.

• Follow proper sample collection, labeling, handling, and transportation procedures.

• Verify patient details and ensure correct sample identification.

• Maintain hygiene, infection control, and safety standards during collection.

• Handle phlebotomy equipment and collection materials properly.

• Ensure samples reach the laboratory within the required time.

• Maintain accurate records of samples collected and submitted.

• Coordinate with the laboratory, patients, and Home Care team.

• Explain the sample collection process to patients and address basic queries.

• Report any sample-related issues or difficulties to the concerned supervisor.

• Maintain professional behaviour and patient confidentiality.

• Follow the assigned route and complete scheduled home visits on time.

Required Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong knowledge of blood/sample collection procedures.

• Good patient-handling skills.

• Knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.

• Ability to travel to different patient locations.

• Basic computer/mobile application knowledge.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple home visits.
