Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications.

• Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.

• Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.

• Maintain accurate patient medication records.

• Manage pharmacy inventory and ensure proper storage of medicines.

• Order medications and monitor stock levels and expiry dates.

• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy.

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff when applicable.

• Participate in health awareness programs, vaccinations, and patient education (where applicable).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm.D or equivalent).

• Valid Pharmacist registration/license as required by the relevant regulatory authority.

• Experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy is preferred.
