Pharmacist – Warehouse & Dispatch Operations

Job Summary
The Pharmacists will be responsible for overseeing and executing the inward and outward movement of pharmaceutical products, ensuring accurate picking and dispatch as per invoices, and maintaining full compliance with regulatory, quality, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP). The role ensures that all dispatched medicines meet legal, quality, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inward Goods Management
Verify and approve receipt of pharmaceutical products against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans.
Check product name, strength, dosage form, batch number, expiry date, and quantity during receipt.
Ensure products are stored as per approved storage conditions, including temperature-controlled and restricted areas.
Maintain and authenticate inward records as per statutory and company requirements.
Outward Goods & Dispatch
Supervise and / or perform picking of pharmaceutical items strictly as per invoices and authorized orders.
Verify batch numbers, expiry dates, quantities, and labeling before dispatch.
Ensure strict adherence to FIFO / FEFO principles during picking and dispatch.
Authorize, finalize, and release consignments for dispatch to distributors, hospitals, pharmacies, and other licensed parties.
Ensure proper packing, labeling, and documentation as per regulatory requirements.
Inventory Control & Compliance
Maintain accurate stock records in physical registers and/or inventory management systems.
Monitor near-expiry, expired, damaged, or recalled products and ensure proper segregation and documentation.
Participate in stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
Ensure compliance with GDP, SOPs, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Quality, Documentation & Coordination
Ensure warehouse hygiene, safety, and compliance standards are maintained at all times.
Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Accounts, and Logistics teams for compliant and timely dispatch.
Review and maintain statutory records, dispatch documentation, and licenses where applicable.
Support inspections and audits by regulatory authorities.
Skills & Requirements
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, storage, and distribution regulations.
High attention to detail and accuracy in verification and documentation.
Familiarity with GDP, inventory control, and compliance practices.
Basic computer skills and experience.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in any of the shifts as per requirement of the company. We have two shifts (Morning & Evening – 10 Hour Shifts)
May require working extended hours during peak dispatch periods.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) – Mandatory.
Valid Registered Pharmacist license as per state pharmacy council.
1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical warehouse, distribution, or logistics preferred.
Working Conditions
Pharmaceutical warehouse environment with controlled storage conditions.
May require extended working hours during peak dispatch or audit periods.
