Lab Technician

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Lab Technician to manage backend pathology operations at Acko Clinic.

This role focuses on sample processing, test execution, and maintaining lab quality standards across haematology, biochemistry, immunoassay,

and urinalysis.

You will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time (TAT) adherence while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards.

What You’ll Do

Process & Analyse Samples

● Handle sample processing across haematology, biochemistry, immunoassay, and urinalysis

● Ensure accurate execution of all lab tests

Maintain Lab Equipment

● Operate and maintain lab instruments

● Ensure calibration and proper functioning of all equipment

Ensure Quality Control

● Follow quality control protocols and lab standards

● Maintain consistency and accuracy of test results

Manage Turnaround Time (TAT)

● Ensure timely processing and reporting of all samples

● Prioritise tasks to meet defined TAT benchmarks

Ensure Sample Integrity

● Handle and store samples safely to prevent contamination or degradation

● Maintain proper documentation and tracking

Collaborate with Pathologist

● Work under pathologist supervision

● Support report validation and quality checks

Skills & Qualification

● DMLT / BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology

● 2–5 years of experience in pathology labs

● Hands-on experience in haematology, biochemistry, and related domains

● Knowledge of lab equipment and QC protocols

● Attention to detail and accuracy

● Ability to manage workload and meet TAT

● Basic documentation and reporting skills
