Job Description — Mid-Level WordPress Developer

Job Overview

Parashift Technologies is hiring a Mid-Level WordPress Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in custom theme development, plugin customization, performance optimization, and server-level troubleshooting. This role requires end-to-end ownership of WordPress projects and direct communication with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes from Figma/PSD/XD with pixel-perfect implementation

• Customize, extend, and troubleshoot WordPress themes and plugins

• Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and overall performance

• Manage website migrations, backups, staging, and production deployments

• Diagnose and fix bugs, plugin conflicts, and server-related issues

• Work with server control panels for deployment and configuration

• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, OTP systems, and CRM tools

• Communicate directly with clients for requirements gathering, updates, and technical guidance

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress core architecture

• Deep understanding of WordPress Hooks (Actions/Filters), WP_Query, and REST API

• Custom WordPress theme development from scratch (without page builders)

• Plugin customization and basic plugin development

• Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), including Repeaters, Flexible Content, CPTs, and Custom Taxonomies to build dynamic, scalable layouts

• Website performance optimization (caching, image optimization, lazy loading, Core Web Vitals)

• WordPress security best practices (wp-config hardening, .htaccess rules, malware cleanup)

• Experience with headless WordPress or REST-based integrations

• Familiarity with WooCommerce customization

• Experience working with Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar page builders when required Candidates without real project experience using ACF will not be considered.

Good to Have:

• Basic server knowledge (Apache/Nginx, PHP versions, SSL, DNS)

• Git and version control basics

• Clear communication with designers and clients

• Good time management and deadline adherence

• Ability to work independently in an on-site team environment
