IT Engineer

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT (Mandatory)

Job Overview: We are hiring a skilled IT Engineer to manage end‑to‑end IT infrastructure and healthcare technology systems. The role requires strong computer science fundamentals, hands‑on infrastructure experience, and coding/scripting capabilities to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, desktops, peripherals, and virtual environments

• Administer and support HMS / EMR systems, ensuring high availability and performance

• Provide L1/L2 technical support to clinical and administrative users

• Troubleshoot operating systems, hardware, applications, email, and network issues

• Support UAT and production environments, application deployments, and system upgrades

• Manage data security, backups, access control, and disaster recovery readiness

• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi‑Fi networks

• Use coding/scripting (Python / PowerShell / Bash) along with SQL to automate IT operations, monitoring, reporting, and routine tasks

• Perform basic to intermediate SQL queries for troubleshooting, data validation, reporting, and application support in HMS / EMR systems

• Assist with database-related activities such as access validation, data integrity checks, and coordination with application or database teams

• Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and asset inventory

• Follow cybersecurity best practices and healthcare data privacy standards

Required Skills

• Strong computer science fundamentals (Operating Systems, Networking, System Administration)

• Windows and/or Linux server administration

• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPN

• Office 365, Email Systems, Active Directory

• Cloud platform exposure: AWS or Azure (preferred)

• Programming or scripting skills using Python / PowerShell / Bash, with working knowledge of SQL

• Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries (SELECT statements, JOINs, filtering) for automation, reporting, and application support

• Understanding of application interaction with relational databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL / MS SQL – any exposure preferred)

• Basic cybersecurity and data protection knowledge

Soft Skills

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills

• Clear communication and good user‑handling ability

• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred

• Prior experience in healthcare IT, hospitals, clinics, or healthcare startups
