Location: SUT Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram
Department: Laundry Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for managing day-to-day laundry operations within the campus, ensuring timely processing of linen, maintaining quality standards, and supervising manpower efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, and folding

• Ensure proper handling and segregation of hospital linen

• Manage staff shifts, attendance, and performance

• Ensure timely delivery of clean linen to different departments

• Maintain hygiene and infection control standards as per hospital norms

• Monitor machine usage and coordinate with maintenance team

• Maintain records of linen inventory and daily production

• Ensure proper use of chemicals and consumables

• Handle complaints and resolve operational issues

• Train staff for process improvement and efficiency

Requirements:

• Graduate / Diploma in relevant field

• 2–5 years of experience in laundry operations (hospital/hotel preferred)

• Knowledge of laundry machines and chemicals

• Good leadership and team handling skills

• Basic computer knowledge
