The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and facilities meet established cleanliness and quality standards. They coordinate staff, inspect work, and support efficient operations to enhance guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff (room attendants, cleaners, laundry staff)
Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met
Assign daily tasks and schedules to housekeeping team members
Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and service standards
Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities; place orders when needed
Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Report maintenance issues (e.g., broken fixtures, leaks) to the engineering department
Maintain housekeeping records, reports, and checklists
