Job Description – Housekeeping Supervisor

Department: Facility / Mall Operations
Location: Gopalan Innovation mall - JP Nagar 3rd phase
Reporting To: Facility Manager / Mall Operations Head

Role Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for supervising housekeeping operations within the mall premises, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene standards, and smooth coordination of housekeeping staff across all common areas, restrooms, food courts, parking areas, and external premises.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Housekeeping Operations

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities across mall premises.

• Ensure cleanliness of common areas, washrooms, escalators, lifts, parking areas, and food court.

• Conduct routine inspections to maintain hygiene standards.

• Ensure timely waste collection and disposal.

🔹 Team Management

• Allocate duties and shifts to housekeeping staff.

• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of housekeeping team.

• Provide on-the-job training to staff.

• Coordinate manpower requirements during peak hours or events.

🔹 Vendor & Material Management

• Coordinate with housekeeping contractors/vendors.

• Monitor usage of cleaning materials and maintain stock records.

• Ensure proper use of equipment and machines.

🔹 Safety & Compliance

• Ensure safety protocols are followed while handling chemicals and equipment.

• Maintain compliance with mall SOPs and hygiene standards.

• Report maintenance issues to facility team immediately.

🔹 Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily housekeeping logbook.

• Submit weekly and monthly reports to management.

• Record complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision.

• Experience in Mall / Retail / Commercial Complex preferred.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and machinery.

• Good communication and team handling skills.

• Ability to manage shifts and manpower effectively.
