The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the premises to ensure a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for employees, patients, and visitors. This role supports Ojas Eye Hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality eye care services by maintaining clinical and non-clinical areas as per healthcare hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas including offices, clinics, washrooms, corridors, waiting areas, and common spaces.
Perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitization as per defined schedules.
Clean and disinfect washrooms regularly and ensure availability of consumables such as soap, tissues, and handwash.
Collect and dispose of waste in designated areas following hygiene and safety norms.
Refill and maintain housekeeping supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
Support pantry-related work including cleaning utensils, pantry area, and assisting with basic arrangements when required.
Follow infection control protocols, especially in clinical or patient-care areas.
Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.
Report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
Assist during events, inspections, or audits as instructed by the management.
Adhere to organizational policies, safety guidelines, and discipline standards.
