As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team , you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope. Job responsibilities Accountable for incident, problem, change management, risk, vendor and client relationship, internal and external communications, service delivery, lifecycle management, and service evolution. Execute day-to-day duties of the function and define and drive MIS requirements to support and improve the business processes supported. Act as the primary customer interface for day-to-day issues and queries. Demonstrate leadership skills and emerging management capability (e.g., Team Leader / SME). Coach and mentor less experienced team members and support overall team management responsibilities. Develop organizational functional goals, priorities, and service objectives aligned to the overall GT strategy. Create original documentation and update existing documentation. Act independently and leverage critical thinking. Advocate for the customer base when faced with infrastructure or business-critical issues. Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate monitoring and capacity analysis and documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements. Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to identify recurring capacity risks and improve remediation workflows, ensuring changes are validated and aligned to resiliency and security expectations. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience Demonstrated strong experience in Network Operation. Expertise in one or more network technologies: Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN) including metropolitan-scale networks Expertise in IP services such as load balancing, Bluecoat proxies, and firewalls. Expertise in data center technologies (Nexus, ASR, VXLAN, Cisco ACI / SIMPL, Arista Fabric). Expertise in optical technologies (Ciena). Experience working in a banking, exchange, or technology environment within a global organization. Understanding of network infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems. Ability to use (or learn) scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, etc. Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
