Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Field Engineer to manage on-site electrical maintenance activities and supervise manpower at various client locations. The candidate must be capable of independently handling field operations, leading teams, ensuring timely project execution, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit client sites to execute operations and maintenance activities.

• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.

• Install, test, commission, and troubleshoot electrical equipment.

• Carry out cable laying, cable termination, panel wiring, and electrical testing.

• Inspect and maintain HT/LT panels, PCC, MCC, APFC panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, switchgear, and distribution systems.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, and technical documents.

• Coordinate with clients, project engineers, and vendors for smooth execution of work.

• Mobilize and arrange skilled manpower as per site requirements.

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate technicians and subcontractors to ensure quality execution.

• Allocate work among team members and monitor productivity.

• Ensure work is completed within the scheduled timeline.

• Maintain daily progress reports, service reports, and maintenance records.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of PPE.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and restore systems with minimal downtime.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and material inventory at site.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance.

• Hands-on experience with HT/LT systems, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, DG sets, UPS, transformers, and switchgear.

• Proficiency in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.

• Ability to read electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.

• Experience using multimeters, clamp meters, Megger, and earth testers.

• Basic knowledge of PLC, VFD, and control panels is preferred.

• Good communication, reporting, and client-handling skills.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to mobilize manpower and manage site execution independently.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Qualification

• ITI Electrician / Diploma in Electrical Engineering / B.E. Electrical.

• Valid two-wheeler driving licence preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively across project sites.
