Job Description – Hardware Engineer

Position: Hardware Engineer

Location: Delhi NCR

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Hardware Engineer to handle installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and technical support for laptops, desktops, servers, printers, networking devices, and other IT hardware.

The candidate should have good knowledge of Delhi NCR routes and locations and be comfortable travelling to customer sites across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of laptops, desktops, servers, printers, and other IT hardware.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues at customer locations.

- Handle hardware replacement, upgrades, RAM/SSD installation, battery, adapter, charger, and other component-related issues.

- Perform preventive maintenance and system health checks.

- Provide on-site technical support to customers.

- Maintain proper records of hardware received, repaired, replaced, and delivered.

- Coordinate with the internal IT/support team for unresolved technical issues.

- Ensure timely closure of customer complaints and service requests.

- Follow company SOPs and maintain proper service documentation.

- Handle IT equipment safely during pickup, delivery, installation, and servicing.

Delhi NCR & Field Knowledge

The candidate should:

- Have good knowledge of Delhi NCR areas, routes, and localities.

- Be comfortable travelling independently for customer visits.

- Have knowledge of major areas in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and Faridabad.

- Be familiar with Delhi Metro routes and major metro stations.

- Be able to identify the most convenient route using Metro, bus, or other local transport.

- Reach customer locations on time and manage multiple field visits efficiently.

- Be willing to travel extensively across Delhi NCR as required.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.

- Knowledge of Windows installation and configuration.

- Knowledge of RAM, SSD/HDD, motherboard, SMPS, battery, adapter, charger, etc.

- Basic knowledge of networking and peripherals.

- Good communication and customer-handling skills.

- Problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

- Good knowledge of Delhi NCR locations and transportation.

- Ability to work independently in field conditions.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma/B.Tech/BCA/ITI or equivalent qualification in Computer Hardware, IT, Electronics, or a related field.

- 1–3 years of experience in hardware support/field support is preferred.

- Freshers with good technical knowledge and strong Delhi NCR route knowledge may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Field-support experience preferred.

- Must be comfortable with daily travel within Delhi NCR.

- Should have good knowledge of Delhi Metro and NCR routes.

- Should be punctual, responsible, and customer-oriented.

- Should have a willingness to learn and handle different types of IT hardware.
