Core Responsibilities
· Circuit Design & Simulation: Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and perform circuit simulations using tools like SPICE or MATLAB to validate designs before manufacturing.
· Component Selection & Sizing: Select power semiconductor devices, passive components (capacitors, inductors), and magnetics suitable for high-frequency or high-power applications.
· Prototyping & Testing: Conduct hands-on board bring-up, debugging, and design verification tests (DVT) using oscilloscopes, power sources, and analyzers.
· Thermal & EMI Management: Design cooling solutions (heatsinks, fans) and ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) compliance for high-power systems.
· Documentation: Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, design review reports, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
