Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer
Department: IT / Technical Support
Reporting To: IT Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance to end-users. The candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure smooth IT operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Mac) and software applications

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner

• Manage user accounts, passwords, and access rights

• Support network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)

• Install and configure antivirus and security software

• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation

• Assist in system upgrades and patch management

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and replacements

• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and basic networking

• Familiarity with Active Directory and remote desktop tools

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Basic understanding of hardware components and peripherals

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
