Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to end users. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and other IT-related issues while ensuring timely resolution and a high level of user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level technical support to employees for desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and desktop applications.

• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity problems.

• Configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.

• Create, update, and manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory.

• Support Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.

• Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, internet, and other basic network connectivity issues.

• Install and configure software, security updates, patches, and antivirus applications.

• Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper tracking of hardware and software.

• Log, monitor, update, and resolve incidents and service requests through an IT ticketing system.

• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate infrastructure, network, or application teams.

• Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including system setup, access provisioning, and equipment allocation.

• Follow IT security policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge-base articles, and troubleshooting guides.

• Provide remote and onsite technical support as required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems.

• Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and common desktop applications.

• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and peripheral configuration.

• Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity and endpoint security practices.
