Core Infrastructure Operations Engineer - SCCM and Patch Management

Specialist - Cloud & Infra Management Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Core Infrastructure Operations Engineer with strong expertise in SCCM patch deployment and reporting The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing endpoint and server configuration software distribution OS and application patching compliance reporting and ensuring the security and stability of the enterprise infrastructure Key Responsibilities SCCM Administration Manage and maintain Microsoft SCCMMECM infrastructure including site servers distribution points boundaries and collections Patch Deployment Plan test and deploy OS and thirdparty application patches across servers and endpoints in line with the monthly patch cycle Software Distribution Imaging Package distribute and deploy applications and OS images using SCCM task sequences and application models Compliance Reporting Generate patch compliance inventory and asset reports using SCCM Reporting Services SSRS and Power BI track and remediate noncompliant devices Endpoint Management Maintain hardwaresoftware inventory manage device collections and enforce configuration baselines Automation Automate patching reporting and deployment tasks using PowerShell scripting Operations Support Troubleshoot SCCM client health patch failures and deployment issues manage incidents and changes via ITSM tools Security Compliance Ensure infrastructure adheres to security policies audit requirements and vulnerability remediation timelines Documentation Maintain SOPs runbooks and configuration documentation Qualifications Technical Skills SCCMMECM administration OS and thirdparty patch deployment software packaging and OS imaging task sequences SSRS and Power BI reporting WSUS Windows Server administration Active Directory and Group Policy PowerShell scripting endpoint compliance and vulnerability remediation ProblemSolving Excellent troubleshooting skills for client health patching and deployment issues Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills Certifications preferred Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager certification Windows Server certification ITIL Foundation Preferred Skills Experience with Microsoft Intune and comanagement Knowledge of additional automation and reporting tools Familiarity with enterprise IT infrastructure and security frameworks
