Job Description – DTP Operator (Book Publishing)

Salary:₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on experience and skill set)

About the Role

Editone International Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented DTP Operator with a strong background in educational book publishing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in page composition, book layout, typesetting, and preparing print-ready files while maintaining high production quality and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and format textbooks, workbooks, activity books, and other educational publications.

* Perform professional page composition and typesetting in English and Hindi.

* Create and maintain consistent layouts based on publishing standards.

* Prepare press-ready PDF files for commercial printing.

* Incorporate corrections received from editors, proofreaders, and clients accurately.

* Manage images, illustrations, tables, and graphical elements within layouts.

* Ensure proper typography, spacing, alignment, margins, and pagination.

* Follow print production specifications including bleed, crop marks, color settings, and font management.

* Coordinate effectively with designers, editors, content developers, and the production team.

* Deliver assigned projects within agreed timelines while maintaining quality standards.

Required Skills

* Strong proficiency in **Adobe InDesign** (Mandatory)

* Experience with **CorelDRAW** is an added advantage.

* English and Hindi typing proficiency.

* Excellent understanding of typography, page composition, and print production.

* Experience preparing print-ready files for offset and digital printing.

* Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

* Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

* Minimum 3 years of professional DTP experience.

* Prior experience in educational or school book publishing is highly preferred.

* Familiarity with NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, or state board educational publications will be an advantage.

* Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
