DTP Computer Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced P4 Senior Associate DTP Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in Adobe InDesign, MS-Word, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The primary responsibilities of the role include converting editable or scanned PDF files into Word or InDesign formats, performing OCR tasks using software such as Abby FineReader, and formatting work in multiple languages. The ability to work under tight deadlines and excellent communication skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

Utilize Adobe InDesign, MS-Word, and OCR software to convert editable or scanned PDF files into Word or InDesign formats.

Demonstrate proficiency in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) work and experience in handling Abby FineReader or similar conversion software.

Format documents accurately and efficiently in various languages, ensuring consistency and adherence to established guidelines.

Meet fast turnaround times while maintaining high-quality standards.

Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any technical issues or challenges that arise during the conversion or formatting process.

Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to DTP (Desktop Publishing) and OCR

Requirements:

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, MS-Word, and OCR software.

Familiarity with Abby FineReader or similar conversion software.

Experience in formatting work in different languages will be considered a strong asset.

Excellent communication skills with a minimum rating of 4+ in communication proficiency.

Strong understanding of PC/Windows/MAC environments.

Knowledge of email, MS-Office, and internet usage.

Ability to adapt to different platforms, networks, and applications as required.
