We are looking for a 2D/3D Designer to join our team . The role involves operating machinery, assembling products and maintaining quality standards on the production floor. This position offers an in-hand salary of ₹10000 - ₹40000 and an opportunity to be part of a growing and essential industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop 2D/3D models using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.).
Design new components/products based on customer or internal requirements.
Modify and improve existing product designs for better performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
Ensure designs can be produced efficiently with available tools, machines, and processes.
Coordinate with production to resolve manufacturability issues.
Create detailed engineering drawings with tolerances (GD&T).
Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and update engineering change documents.
Maintain proper revision control and documentation as per standards.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Improve cycle time, cost, and material usage.
Support lean projects: Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, etc.
Work with production, quality, purchase, and sales teams for smooth product development.
Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly.
Coordinate with suppliers for new part development.
Support prototype fabrication.
Conduct tests, trials, and validations.
Analyze failures and implement corrective design actions.
Ensure designs follow industry standards (ISO, ASME, BIS).
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for design-related defects.
Support PPAP, APQP, and other customer-specific requirements.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction through design changes.
Evaluate alternative materials, processes, and suppliers.
Implement value engineering practices.
Manage design-related tasks within timelines.
Prepare project status reports and present progress.
Support NPD (New Product Development) projects.
Provide engineering support for production issues.
Troubleshoot design deviations and coordinate solutions.
Train operators on new design requirements when needed.
Job Requirements:
The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma and 0.5 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a related field. Attention to detail, physical stamina and ability to follow instructions are very important for this role.
