Role Overview
The Assistant Sales Manager supports the sales function by generating leads, coordinating with estimation and design teams, preparing proposals, and closing industrial and PEB projects.
This role is critical in converting enquiries into orders through technical understanding and customer coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and follow up on leads for PEB and industrial construction projects
Coordinate with estimation, design, and project teams for proposals and quotations
Understand client requirements and prepare techno-commercial offers
Conduct client meetings, site visits, and project discussions
Track enquiries, proposals, and follow-ups until order closure
Maintain CRM / sales tracker with enquiry and conversion status
Assist in price negotiations and contract finalization
Support marketing activities, references, and repeat business
Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals
Skills & Capabilities
Strong understanding of PEB / steel structures / industrial buildings
Ability to read basic drawings and BOQ/BOM (preferred)
Good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong follow-up discipline and customer handling ability
Proficiency in Excel, email communication, and CRM tools
Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
Capacity
Handle multiple enquiries and live prospects simultaneously
Manage sales coordination for industrial sheds, warehouses, factories
Support order closure and handover to execution teams
Eligibility
Diploma / BE / BTech (Mechanical / Civil preferred) or Graduate with sales experience
3 – 6 years experience in PEB / Construction / Industrial project sales
Proven experience in B2B / project-based selling
